Testimonials

At Ona Skincare

We’ve been working with Melissa at Glow [Ona] Skincare for a few years now as clients as well as referring customers to her. She’s always been very professional and courteous with us and our clientele and we recommend our clients to her on a daily basis. Melissa is very knowledgeable about the laser process and uses one of the best lasers on the market specifically designed for tattoo removal. We’ve seen great results with our clients that we refer to her and are easily able to coverup a tattoo after the laser process. Our clients always comment on their positive experience at Glow [Ona] Skincare and it’s been a pleasure seeing great results. – D. Gardner

I had some old work and had been hoping for quite a while to find a good local laser removal place. I came to Glow Skin Care [ Ona Skincare ] by recommendation and figured it was time to try. I have been getting tattooed steadily for over 15 years and have the majority of my body covered. With that, I have plenty that I got when I was younger that I didn’t put quite as much thought into. We started with a few of my smaller pieces for removal. The process was quite successful, and the professionalism of the staff was second to none. I’ve since been able to put new work, that I am much happier with, over the areas that I had hit with the laser sessions. I am looking forward to a bit of a new start that I am able to have, thanks to Glow Skin Care [ Ona Skincare ]. – I. White

  • QUESTION: How does the laser remove a tattoo?

ANSWER: The Q-switched lasers search for contrasts between tattoo ink and skin tone. When it detects a contrast, its beam of light pulses down on the skin intensely to break the ink up in tiny particles, which then get absorbed by your body. A separate wavelength or 532 q switched may be needed to remove red ink after the first several treatments.

  • QUESTION: How many treatments are required?

ANSWER: A professional quality tattoo will generally require six to ten treatments for removal. Amateur tattoos, that use less ink and are not as deep, will require fewer treatments. The number of treatments will vary, depending on various factors including the type, amount, color, and depth of the tattoo ink. For a cover up as little as three to five treatments may be enough to allow the tattoo artist to replace the tattoo you dislike with something more pleasing.

  • QUESTION: Will the laser remove all colors?

ANSWER: Yes, the laser will remove all tattoo colors, but some colors are more difficult to remove than others. Dark blue, black and red inks will fade faster than green, yellow, or sky blue inks.

  • QUESTION: Will the laser remove the tattoo completely?

ANSWER: Most clients will see better than 95% removal. It is impossible to predict the degree of removal on any given tattoo because there are so many different brands of tattoo inks.

  • QUESTION: Is it painful?

ANSWER: Some people will experience a greater degree of discomfort than others. We use a topical anesthetic and ice to minimize discomfort.

  • QUESTION: How much does it cost?

ANSWER: Size and ink color can determine pricing. A free consultation is recommended prior to treatment for accurate pricing.
